Being a textile girl at heart, you gotta love a good old fashion granny doillie. I love when people come up with contempoary ways of styling with them, or making them from new materials, like the bamboo placemat (we have seen the vinyl cut once for quite a while now). Love the Donna wilson doillie inspirred puff and the lap top case from Picnic Decor, and if I had the space, the grand doillie piano by Joana Vasconcelos would be in my livingroom.

I find the whole idea of The Royal Ascot dress code quite odd, nice heels (on grass), fancy evening wear dresses and hair dos (for day time), and then hats-the-bigger-and-freaker-the better.
